Georgena Grace Cash King, 63, of Winnemucca, Nevada passed away at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah on November 22, 2017.

Gena was born to George and Letitia Cash on February 23, 1954 in Atchison, Kansas. She graduated from Grants High School in Grants, New Mexico in 1972. She was married to Tommy Bradford King in Grants, New Mexico on Jan. 8, 1972.

Gena was a homemaker at the time of her passing. Prior to that, she worked with special needs children in the Tucson and Yuma Arizona School Districts. She also worked in the casino industry for a short time. She was a very good seamstress and cook. She made clothes for her family and often baked during her younger years.

She enjoyed spending time with her family. She dearly loved and enjoyed being with her grand-children and great-grandchildren. She also helped babysit the Bice children, Charlie, Lucy and Brooklyn. They were also dear to her heart.

She also helped Tom (Brad) look after his parents Frank and Thelma Halstead of Winnemucca, Nevada. She dearly loved them both.

She is survived by her husband of almost 46 years, Tom King, and their two daughters, Valerie Carrico and Stephanie Brock-King. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Kaylene King (Greg), Ashlee Fuchs (Eric), Matthew Carrico (Bri), Courtnee Carrico, Brandon Carrico, Kendrick Brock-King, Kelden Brock-King and Grayson Brock-King, as well as three great-granddaughters: Khloe, Kaydance and Jaidyn. In addition, she was survived by her sisters Pamela (Rob) Gholson and Candice (Raymond) Tellez and one brother, Doug (Judy) Cash. Mother and Father in-laws, Thelma and Frank Halstead. Every relative was a rock to her, especially as her health failed.

The memorial service will be held Friday, December 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the D3 Church, 403 Hansen Street, Winnemucca, Nevada. Pastor Brad Borowski will be officiating. There will be food and refreshments served after the service in the kitchen/dining area.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Huntsman Cancer Institute www.huntsmancancer.org in Salt Lake City, Utah.
