WINNEMUCCA - On Thursday, April 18, Humboldt General Hospital will present the fourth installment of its 2013 "Healthy Year, Healthy You" seminar series.

"Love, Dignity and Alzheimer's" will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in the hospital's Sonoma Conference Room. There is no charge to attend and lunch will be served.

Gini Cunningham, a facilitator with the Northern Nevada Alzheimer's Association and the Winnemucca Alzheimer's Support Group, will lead the discussion.

Cunningham said, "My mother and sister both lived through and died from Alzheimer's disease. Witnessing their slow agonizing decent with loss of ability followed by more loss, I learned much. This is information I want to share with others."

Cunningham said she said she will help participants on this "treacherous journey of memory disintegration, guiding you as you make sense of no sense."

April's seminar continues a year-long series of "Healthy Year, Healthy You" presentations aimed at helping local residents achieve a greater state of wellness.

All presentations will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month. There is never a charge to attend and lunch is always served.
