Humboldt County Pets at the Pound

The following animals were recently picked up by Animal Control. More information on impounded dogs at the Sage Heights shelter is available by calling the shelter at 623-6403 or Sheriff's Dispatch at 623-6429 and leaving a message, 24 hours a day. When calling, be prepared to provide the dog's description, license number and general area in which it was lost.
A gray and blue male Poodle/Lab was a surrender. *Adopted
A tri colored female Walker hound was dropped at shelter. *Reclaimed
A tri colored female Beagle was picked up on Mesa. *Reclaimed
A tri colored female Kelpiex was dropped at shelter.
A liver tic male German Short Hair Pointer was picked up on Highland.
A black and white male Border Collie was dropped at shelter. *Reclaimed
A black and white female Border Collie/Heeler was picked up on McArthur. *Reclaimed
A black and tan male Doxi was picked up at Pilot.
A black and tan female Pomeranian was picked up at Lowry High School. *Reclaimed
A brindle male Pug mix was picked up at High Desert RV.
Of the dogs impounded since the last report, five have been reclaimed by their owners and one was adopted.
If you are looking for a canine friend to adopt, please call us at 623-6403. Dogs are available for viewing every day from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Licensing is a city and county ordinance. Please license your dog. This will help us get him back to you should he become lost.
