Humboldt County Pets at the Pound

The following animals were recently picked up by Animal Control. More information on impounded dogs at the Sage Heights shelter is available by calling the shelter at 623-6403 or Sheriff's Dispatch at 623-6429 and leaving a message, 24 hours a day. When calling, be prepared to provide the dog's description, license number and general area in which it was lost.
A male black Chow was picked up on Warmouth. *Reclaimed
A male Brindle Terrier mix was picked up on Crown Royal.
A male gray Wire Haired Pointing Griffin was picked up on Grass Valley Rd.
A female black and white Lab/Collie was dropped off at shelter.
A male black Lab was dropped off at shelter.
A male black and white Border Collie was surrendered.
A female white Wire Haired Pointing Griffin was dropped off at shelter.
Of the dogs impounded since the last report, two have been reclaimed by their owners and none were adopted.
If you are looking for a canine friend to adopt, please call us at 623-6403. Dogs are available for viewing every day from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Licensing is a city and county ordinance. Please license your dog. This will help us get him back to you should he become lost.
