Well-child checks

State budget issues have resulted in a reduction in immunization services for insured children in our community.

The Community Health Office will continue to offer these services to the uninsured and underinsured population.

Barbara Fallin brings immunization services and the Well-Child Program to the Battle Mountain Clinic. Immunizations, available to all children and adolescents between the ages of 6 weeks through 21 years, and well-child examinations, available to all children and adolescents between the ages of 2 months through 21 years, are administered by appointment only.

Well-child services include evaluation of growth parameters, developmental assessment and anticipatory guidance. Full physical exam and evaluation of immunization status with updates as indicated are also provided.

The Battle Mountain Clinic participates in the WEB-IZ program to track immunization administration. Parents should bring the child's current immunization records to the clinic appointment to maintain.
