Battle Mountain Archery Club 3D Shoot
The Battle Mountain Archery Club is hosting a 3D shoot on Saturday, June 22, starting at 8 a.m. It will be held north of town at the Wood Corrals. The club will also be holding a shoot on Saturday, June 29, starting at 8 a.m. It will be held at Cottonwood Canyon. Crescent Valley BBQ & Drawing
Crescent Valley Emergency Fund, Inc. is having a barbeque and drawing at the Ranch House. The kick off is at 1 p.m. on July 27. There will be door prize tickets and jewelry prize tickets available. Refreshments available through the Ranch House.
Frontier Community Coalition Meeting
A Frontier Community Coalition Local Community Committee (LCC) meeting will be held

First Baptist Church offers Services
The First Baptist Church would like to announce services and reach out to families of our community. Sunday services begin at 10:45 a.m. and Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome! Jungle Jaunt Vacation Bible School
Calling all explorers grades kindergarten through fifth grade to join First Baptist Church on 7th & Weaver in Battle Mountain on an adventure in the Amazon rainforest for Club VBS: Jungle Jaunt. The adventure is June 24 - 28. We'll begin each day at 9 a.m. and conclude at 12 p.m. For more information, please call (775) 635-2055. Hospice accepting gently used donations
Don't want to have a yard sale but want to get rid of your good quality stuff? Call hospice at (775) 635-8790. We will pick up your items or call us and we can meet up with you to collect them. Please no clothes or old appliances. We are accepting donations through July 24. We are going to be having our sale on July 27 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Battle Mountain Civic Center. Confronting Sexual Assault in Our
The Nevada Coalition Against Sexual Violence has coordinated a free, 1.5-day training for the Battle Mountain area. It will be held on June 20 - 21. The training location is Battle Mountain High School, 425 Weaver Ave., Battle Mountain. The sessions will be held on June 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and June 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For more information, call (775) 355-2220 or email email@example.com. Health Occupation Students of America from Battle Mountain earned the chance to go to Nashville, Tenn. They will be leaving on June 24. They will be selling raffle tickets for a drawing, which will include all kinds of prizes. The drawing will be held on June 21 at the Battle Mountain High School. Residential Community Clean-Up
There will be a residential community clean-up June 22 - 30 at various locations around town. Dumpster trash removed for free, as well as appliances and vehicles. Please call Battle Mountain Road and Bridge at 635-2728 or 635-2190 for more details, locations and with any questions.
Nevada Guard Open House
The Nevada Army National Guard is set to host an open house at its Elko Armory, 1375 13th St., on July 13 at 11 a.m. Everyone in the community is welcome to attend.
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training will be held July 11 at the Battle Mountain Civic Center at 5:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public. This training is specifically for members of the community who are interested in preparing for disasters. For more information, call Keith Westengard at (775) 635-5595.

Free high school sports physicals offered
Free high sports physicals are being held by the Battle Mountain Clinic on Aug. 5. Please call the Public Health Office before July 29 for an appointment at (775) 635-2386.
Vendors needed for July 4th celebration
The Battle Mountain Arts Presenters, with the support of the Lander County Convention and Tourism Authority, has taken on the task of putting on the 4th of July Celebration. The vendor and parade entry forms are available. Each vendor must sell different items than other vendors so sign up early. You can get your form at the civic center office, Monday - Friday, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Call 635-1112 for more information.
Lander County Hospice Memory Quilt project
The Lander County Hospice is starting a memory quilt project. The quilt blocks will memorialize loved ones who have passed on. Quilt block prices: a 6-inch square with handwritten name is $10; a 6-inch square with a picture is $15; a 9-inch square with a picture is $20. The Gospel Project Bible study
The Fellowship Baptist Mission began a new Bible study last month and will continue ever y Sunday at 9:45 a.m. The Gospel Project is a three-year study from Genesis through Revelation. The study teaches how the Gospel is reflected throughout the whole Bible. There are classes for all ages, from birth to adult. For more information, contact Bob at (775) 635-3470.
