Jacob's Well holding quilt raffle

The youth center is holding a raffle to raise money for movie equipment. They are raffling off a beautiful handmade quilt that was donated by a local quilter (and great friend!) Betty Thompson. The quilt is on display at Jacob's Well. Tickets will be sold until Oct. 31.  Buy one ticket for a dollar or six for $5.



BMHS Homecoming

Homecoming for Battle Mountain High School will be Oct. 7 - 12.  The theme is Level Up to the Longhorns and it is based on video games. The following is a schedule of events. First Baptist Church offers Services

The First Baptist Church would like to announce services and reach out to families and the youth of our community. Sunday services began at 10:45 a.m. and Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. Youth group will be held from 6 - 9 p.m. All are welcome! First Baptist Church is located on the corner of 7th and Weaver. 8th Annual DV Fun

Run/Walk

The Lander County Committee Against Domestic Violence will be hosting their annual Fun Run/Walk on Oct. 5 at 9 a.m. Pre-registration can be done at the Lander County Juvenile Department or the Family Resource Center. Registration is: $5 students, $10 individuals, $25 family or business (more than five people will be $8 each). Businesses need to register by Sept. 27. You will receive breakfast, a T-shirt and a goodie bag. Check in at 8:30 a.m. at the Elquist Park in Battle Mountain on the day of the event.



Craft Show at The Cookhouse Museum

Craft show Nov. 1 & 2 at the Cookhouse Museum. It will be open 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2. Vendors needed with handmade items only. Contact Salle at 635-2450, Coxie at 635-2582 or the Cookhouse Museum at 635-8584.



4-H fair project sheets need to be signed

All 4-H youth who plan to put static entries (projects) in the Lander County Fair must bring them to the 4-H office to have their project sheets signed. Please call your 4-H/Youth Coordinator Tonya McKenzie at (775) 635-5565 or stop by the extension office with any questions.

The Gospel Project Bible study

The Fellowship Baptist Mission began a new Bible study last month and will continue every Sunday at 9:45 a.m. The Gospel Project is a three-year study from Genesis through Revelation.
