Please note that there will not be a coalition meeting in December. The next Lander County LCC meeting will be held on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at 12:30 p.m. at the Owl Club in Battle Mountain.
Free parenting classes
Free parenting classes will be held Wednesday, Jan. 15, and Thursday, Jan. 16, from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. The classes will be held at 190 W. 3rd St., Battle Mountain in the Sixth Judicial District Youth & Family Services Lander County Building. Come learn effective parenting tips, simple techniques to re-gain some peace in your home, ways to increase love, compliance and positive family relationships. The Lander County Conservation District has an empty board supervisor position. The position is volunteer. The board meets approximately quarterly (every three months) to discuss possible conservation projects in the county. First Baptist Church offers services
The First Baptist Church would like to announce services and reach out to families and the youth of our community. Sunday services began at 10:45 a.m. and Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. Youth group will be held from 6 - 9 p.m. All are welcome! First Baptist Church is located on the corner of 7th and Weaver. The Gospel Project Bible study
The Fellowship Baptist Mission began a new Bible study last month and will continue every Sunday at 9:45 a.m. The study teaches how the Gospel is reflected throughout the whole Bible. There are classes for all ages, from birth to adult. For more information, contact Bob at (775) 635-3470.
