Children turning 5 by Sept. 30, 2014 will need to be screened before they can enroll in school in Lander County. Screening dates are Aug. 11 - 14. If your child attended a pre-school in Battle Mountain, the school already has your contact information to set up an appointment. If not, please contact the school. Proof of birth and a current immunization record will be required at the time of the screening, so if you haven't ordered a birth certificate, please do so now. Battle Mountain High School will host a volleyball camp for girls grades 6-12, from Aug. 11-14. There will be seven hours of instruction each day from former and current college All-American players under the tutelage of the best volleyball coaches in America. Gold Medal Squared Camps are run by former and current Olympic team and national championship coaches. It is a great opportunity for Battle Mountain girls to learn, refine, and develop their volleyball skills. Call Toby Melver at 304-5925 for information.
Notary Training Session
There will be a Notary Training Session on Sept. 4 from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. at the High Desert Inn, 3015 E. Idaho Street in Elko. Check-in begins at 4 p.m. Class is limited to 100; registration fee is $45. Vacation Bible School
First Baptist Church on 7th and Weaver will be holding their Vacation Bible School program, Jesus is my Superhero, through July 18 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Come join in as they learn about the one, true, superhero. Jesus shows us how to be a hero in today's world. The program is open to all children who have completed grades kindergarten - fifth and will include crafts, games, missions and music. Dinner will be provided every night.
Agency D3 VBS
Fellow Baptist Mission (1020 Chukar Lane) will be holding their Vacation Bible School program Aug. 4 - 8. Grab your ID and head over to Agency D3 and join us as we investigate the truth about Jesus! Children ages 4 - sixth grade are admitted free from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. During the week of July 28 - Aug. 1, adults and teenagers can experience Agency D3 with Bible studies and activities from 6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. every night, with each session beginning with dinner. Class of 1984 gathering
The class of 84 will be getting together for drinks on July 25 at 7 p.m. at the Hideaway.
Vacation Bible School

Students in kindergarten through third grade will attend summer school at Mary S. Black and fourth through sixth graders will attend at Eleanor Lemaire. Summer school will run through Aug. 14, Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. Summer school is open to all students.
The annual RPM Basketball Camp will be held from July 28-30 at Battle Mountain High School. The camp is for students in the fourth-eighth grade from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Grades 9-12 will go from 9 a.m.-noon. The emphasis of the camp is fundamentals. For more information contact Paul Tremayne 635-5234.

Christ Lutheran Preschool registration
