As the holiday season rapidly approaches, Winnemucca Kidz-N-Cops is pleased to announce that it will again be able to provide a Christmas shopping spree to qualifying children (ages 5 to 12) throughout the Humboldt County area. Applications are available at the Winnemucca Police Department and can also be requested by mail. Theapplication deadline is Monday, Nov. 25 at 5 p.m. If you need additional information please contact Mike Pardovich at (775) 421-1746.

In-Home Flu Shots
Humboldt General Hospital Emergency Medical Services Rescue is offering in-home flu shots to Humboldt County residents from now through Friday, December 6. Morning, afternoon and evening appointments are available. Cost is $25, payable by cash or check. The Centers for Disease Control recommends that everyone 6 months and older get vaccinated against the flu every year. Please call 623-5222, ext. 1363 before Monday, Nov. 25 to schedule your flu shot.

Art display at the Humboldt County Library
Teddy Swecker, Sara Thielan-Fry, and Kitty Norcutt will be displaying their artwork at the Humboldt County Library through Dec. 18. An art reception to be announced.
Hope Tree Grief Support Group
6 p.m. - Hope Tree Grief Support Group for all ages 3 and up will begin meeting at the United Methodist Church located at 138 W. 7th-12th Grade Book Club
7th-12th Grade Book Club meets at 3:30 p.m. at the Humboldt County Library. Read a book of your choice and decorate a turkey cupcake.
Harvest Potluck Dinner
6 p.m. - People of all faiths in Humboldt County are invited to the 11th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 111 McArthur Avenue in Winnemucca. The interfaith dinner is sponsored by the Winnemucca Ministerial Association. The evening will include a turkey dinner with all the fixings. Participants are asked to bring a potluck dish to share as well as a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Winnemucca Food Bank. Mayor Di An Putnam will be the evening's keynote speaker, and entertainment will be provided by several local choirs. SNAP Representative at the FCAA office
A representative from SNAP (formerly known as food stamps) will be at the Frontier Community Action Agency to interview and process all food stamp applications as completed with all supporting documentation ready. Appointments are required, please call the FCAA to make your appointment at 623-9003.

National Child & Teen Grief Awareness Day
Help the FCAA spread the awareness of this day by WEARING BLUE! Child and Teen Grief Awareness Day is designed to help us all become more aware of the needs of grieving children and the benefits they obtain through the support of others. 8 a.m. Community Breakfast- at Sid's Restaurant. Our guest speaker will be coming from Las Vegas, Ricky Gourrier will be presenting Nevada Afterschool Network and what resources are available. Please feel free to invite anyone you think might like to attend. Its your community and everyone is welcome so come one, come all! Each person is responsible for buying his/her own breakfast. Snap Circuits Club
Snap Circuits Club meets from 10 a.m. - noon at the Humboldt County Library. Create various circuits, each club meeting is $2. Call 623-6388 to register as space is limited.
Denio Turkey Shoot
Come and support our sagebrush communities at the annual Denio Community Club Turkey Shoot! Cost is $5 to shoot for turkey or chorizo; $6 to shoot for half slab of bacon; $12 for bone-in ham or a full slab of bacon. Outside shoot near arena, competitions for iron sites, 100-yard offhand rifle; 200-yard any rifle; 25-yard pistol and creative shooting. Inside shoot at the Community Hall from 2 - 8 p.m. for .22s with peep sites (provided). Youth shooters must be accompanied by an adult or show a valid Hunter Safety card. Concessions by Fields School PTA 11:30 - 5:30 p.m. Field School cow plop Bingo noon - 2 p.m.

Nevada Health Link Representative
8 a.m.- 5 p.m. each day - A representative will be in the Job Connect Office helping people enroll for the Nevada Health Link Insurance. Individuals who would like to make an appointment with a representative, please call Job Connect at 623-6520 and ask for Ashley to schedule an appointment.
Begin at the Flying J parking lot. Cost is $20 per person with all proceeds to benefit a needy family for the holidays.

Festival of Trees
The Winnemucca Host Lions Club would like to invite the community to the Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall for the Festival of Trees! Hours are Friday from 4 - 8 p .m.; Saturday 4 - 8 p.m. with a bidder's reception at 7 p.m.; and Sundya from 1 - 5 p.m., with the tree auctions ending at 4 p.m. Admission is a suggested donation of just $3! Come see the wonderful array of trees and wreaths and take part in the silent auctions. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for pictures This is a great way to get into the Christmas spirit! Don's miss it!
