Davita Coat Drive
Davita Dialysis is holding a coat drive, collecting clean, reusable coats for children and adults for the winter season. Donate at their Winnemucca location, 830 Fairgrounds Road, Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Community-Wide Coat and Blanket Drive
Please donate new or gently used coats, blankets, sleeping bags, boots and other cold-weather accessories toward the "Warm Hands Project." Drop off at the Frugal Flamingo Thrift Shop, Sonoma Thrift Shop or Poke & Peek Thrift Shop. All donations should be clearly marked "Warm Hands Project." Nominations sought for Kidz-N-Cops
As the holiday season rapidly approaches, Winnemucca Kidz-N-Cops is pleased to announce that it will again be able to provide a Christmas shopping spree to qualifying children (ages 5 to 12) throughout the Humboldt County area. Applications are available at the Winnemucca Police Department and can also be requested by mail. Theapplication deadline is Monday, Nov. 25 at 5 p.m. If you need additional information please contact Mike Pardovich at (775) 421-1746.

In-Home Flu Shots
Humboldt General Hospital Emergency Medical Services Rescue is offering in-home flu shots to Humboldt County residents from now through Friday, December 6. Morning, afternoon and evening appointments are available. Cost is $25, payable by cash or check. The Centers for Disease Control recommends that everyone 6 months and older get vaccinated against the flu every year. Please call 623-5222, ext. 1363 before Monday, Nov. 25 to schedule your flu shot.
Senior Crafters Fair and Bake Sale
9 a.m.-2 p.m. The Senior Centers Crafters are holding their annual Craft Fair and Bake Sale. The Pleasant Senior Center will have soup and scones for sale for lunch begining at 11 a.m. This is always the first show of the season, with plenty of well crafted items for you, or for Christmas gifts! Anyone interested in reserving a table can stop into the Pleasant Senior Center weekdays from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. to buy their space. Tables cost $12.50 for an 8 foot table.
Drive-Thru Flu Shot Clinic
Back by popular demand is the Drive-Thru Flu Shot Clinic at the Indoor Event Center. Come by from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. for a FREE flu shot - no appointment necessary. Flu vaccines and flu mist will be available. For more information contact the Community Health Nurse, 623-6575.
Paradise Valley Community Breakfast
7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. - Come to beautiful Paradise Valley for breakfast! The Community Hall is the place to find a delicious breakfast - eggs any style, hash browns, bacon, sausage, pancakes, orange juice and coffee, all for just $8 per adult.
White Sage Theater Meeting
7 p.m. - Come to Las Margaritas to learn more about the expanded White Sage Theatre group. White Sage Theatre is getting ready to do more plays next year than we've done in any past year! We plan to review the pile of scripts we have collected, get the names of other suggested plays (so that we can order scripts) and get started on the next play. We plan to start rehearsals shortly after the meeting and have performances in January. Then we also plan to start a second play in about a month with performances in February-March. Spooky Stories in the Dark
7 p.m. - Come to the Humboldt County Library for Spooky Stories in the Dark! Brind a flashlight and dress in costume for a spooky time at the Library!
Fun, Food and Good Music!
Lowry High School choirs invite the public to a pulled pork dinner and choir concert. This will be held in the LHS cafeteria beginning at 6 p.m. Cost is $5 per person for one plate. On the menu is a pulled pork sandwich, chips and a cookie or brownie.
Trunk or Treat
5 - 7 p.m. - Sonoma Baptist Church on the corner of Muddy and Grass Valley Road is having its second annual Trunk or Treat for a Safe Halloween for the kids. Please put on your costume and come join us for fun and lots of treats for everyone!
