Humboldt County Court Dockett

Items in the Court Docket are compiled from public records contained in the Union Township Justice Court and the Sixth Judicial District Court. The Humboldt Sun reports all felony hearings, misdemeanor convictions and dismissals for which the court releases information.

Union Township Justice Court



May 15

Rodney Wayne Armstrong pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana and was fined $600 + $127 AA. Armstrong pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and was fined $500 + $127 AA, with credit for four days time served with credit of $400; $954 converted to 94 hours of community service. One count of failure to stop required upon signal of peace office was dismissed.



Alex Francisco Velasco pleaded guilty to receiving, possessing, or withholding stolen property and was fined $1,000 + $124 AA with $1,000 converted to 100 hours of community service. One count of theft was dismissed.



May 16

Jerry Michael Young pleaded no contest to driving under the influence, first offense, and was sentenced to 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for two years with the following conditions: defendant serve two days jail, converted to four days home confinement; pay a fine of $475 + $112 AA + $60 forensic fee; attend a state certified DUI school; participate and successfully complete outpatient substance abuse counseling for 12 months; maintain complete abstinence from alcohol and controlled substances; no further criminal activity; and install an alcohol interlock device on vehicle for a 12-month period.



May 17

Troy Jock pleaded no contest to battery, pursuant to negotiations, and was sentenced to 30 days jail with 30 days stayed for two years on the condition the defendant pay a fine of $500 + $127 AA, continue anger management counseling, and stay away from the victim.



May 20

Ryan David Varela pleaded no contest to possession of drug paraphernalia and was fined $500 + $127 AA. Varela pleaded no contest to open container and was fined $100 + $82 AA.



Bernardo Mathias pleaded guilty to driving under the influence, first offense, and was sentenced to 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for one year with the following conditions: defendant serve two days jail; pay a fine of $400 + $112 AA + $60 forensic fee; complete a state certified DUI school; and attend a victim impact panel. For one count of driving in excess of posted speed zone, the fine is to run concurrent to count one, DUI.



Charleen Adell Davis pleaded no contest to possession of drug paraphernalia and was fined $500 + $127 AA, converted to 63 hours of community service.
