Floyd Dale Wright
Floyd Dale Wright
Floyd Dale Wright passed away June 30, 2019.

He was born the middle child of Floyd M. and Alice Wright on September 5, 1943.

He roamed a lot in his younger years but spent most of his childhood in Moab, Utah.

While roaming he mined gold and uranium all over the southwest. He joined the Air Force and served until July 1962.

He worked at Texas Gulf Potash in Moab, Utah and later in life he was the proud owner of FD Wright Drilling in Lovelock, Nevada until his retirement.

He loved family, hunting, and fishing.  He was able to spin tall tales that always got a laugh at the end.  He had quick wit and used it whenever he could.

He never met someone that he didn’t count as a friend and trusted people to a fault.  There was never a time that he didn’t greet you with a smile and he was always happy to see you.  When he asked how you were, it wasn’t just a traditional conversational question, he truly cared about you.  Dale was a planner and a dreamer.

He always had some project he wanted to do or was in the middle of.  He rarely boasted about his time in the military, but he was proud to have served his country.

He is Survived by his wife of 42 years Laura and children Crystal Tackett, Melody Dubois, Wyland Wright, and Floyd Wright.  He will be missed by his grandchildren and great grandchildren Brandon Bellows, Matthew Bellows, Steven Neese, Corey Neese, Chance Bellows, Eva Bellows, Ayden Bellows, Aurora Neese, Ella Neese,  Landon Moralez, Austin Paris-Wright, Bailey Wright, and Dawson Wright.

He would be proud that his bloodline runs deep.

A funeral Service will be held August 9, 2019 at 10:00 am., at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 14 Veterans Way, Fernley, NV .
