The following business items were updated at the regular Winnemucca City Council Meeting on January 4, 2022:

• A unanimous determination was made that the agenda items do not impose a direct and significant economic burden on a business or directly restrict the formation, operation, or expansion of a business. 

• A request from Humboldt Connection Suicide Prevention group for a $5,000 contribution was unanimously approved. 

• A request for authorization to procure professional tank inspection services for the Tank 1C interior painting project for the sum of $32,570 with Construction Materials Engineers, Inc. was unanimously approved. 

• No changes were made to the current city council and mayor board and committee appointments. 

• A proposal to adopt an ordinance to amend the COMM (Commercial) master plan designation to MDR (Medium Density Residential) designation for property identified as Humboldt County Assessor’s Parcel (APN) 15-0491-09 located near US 95 North was unanimously approved in a public hearing.

• A proposal to adopt an ordinance to amend the G-C (General Commercial) zoning designation to R-1-9 (Single-Family Residential 9,000 sf minimum lot size) designation for APN 15-0491-09 located near US 95 North was unanimously approved in a public hearing. 

• A proposal to adopt an ordinance to amend the IND (Industrial) master plan designation MDR (Medium Density Residential) for APN 15-0363-02 located off East Second Street was unanimously approved in a public hearing. 

• A proposal to adopt an ordinance to amend AR (Agricultural Residential) zoning designation to E (Estate) designation for APN 15-0363-02 located off East Second Street was unanimously approved in a public hearing. 

• A proposal to adopt an ordinance to amend the AG-5 (General Agriculture 5-acre minimum lot size) zoning designation to E (Estate) designation for APN 15-0442-01 and 15-0442-02 located off East Second Street were unanimously approved in a public hearing. 

• A request for authorization to enter into a one-year agreement for IT maintenance, IT support, and managed security services with Nevada IT Services for $6,500 per month and a one-time on-boarding and setup fee of $6,000 was unanimously approved. 

• A request for authorization to procure services to perform a city-wide upgrade of the city server hardware and software for $29,877.50 plus $150 per hour for labor with Nevada IT Services was unanimously approved.
