The Winnemucca Regional Raceway was a busy place June 2, 3,4 5 with the High Desert Challenge. Drivers from all the way from Kansas made the trip to Winnemucca for one of the top events on the racing schedule in northern Nevada. There were 60 cars on the track on Friday, June 3, including 29 IMCA Modifieds. Racers came from Arizona, California, Oregon, Wyoming, Kansas and Nevada to race. Sixty-six cars were at the track on Saturday, June 4. Bad weather and heavy rain it the track just before the start of racing on Sunday, June 5. There were no heat races on the final day, just main events to get the complete show in.
