The Battle Mountain High School girls soccer team lost a pair of road matches this past weekend in Lyon County.

Battle Mountain was in Fernley on Friday, with the Vaqueros recording a 7-0 win. Fernley scored three times in the opening 40 minutes of play and added four goals in the second half.

The road trip moved to Yerington on Saturday afternoon, with Lions winning 4-1. With the losses, Battle Mountain dropped to 0-7-1 in the Northern 3A ‘B’ division.

Battle Mountain’s five-match road trip concludes in Lovelock on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Battle Mountain is back home to play White Pine on Friday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m. West Wendover visits Battle Mountain on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m.
